Kahoku-cho Safflower Museum
Here you can tour the former home of Horigome Shirobei, a prosperous safflower trade merchant during the middle Edo Period (1603–1868), as well as gain a deep understanding of history and culture related to safflowers—representative of Yamagata Prefecture—through materials related to Mogami benibana safflowers and hina-ningyo dolls.
